What We Teach

Taijiquan (Tai Chi)

Taijiquan is often known for its health benefits, but traditionally it is a complete martial art and system of self-cultivation.

To truly understand Taijiquan, one must develop strength, coordination, balance, awareness, relaxation, focus, and discipline. Through forms, drills, partner exercises, applications, and mindful practice, students learn to embody the principles that make Taijiquan both an effective martial art and a powerful tool for lifelong development.

Shaolin Kung Fu

Strong roots support a strong tree.

Our Shaolin training develops the strength, conditioning, flexibility, coordination, discipline, and work ethic that support all aspects of martial arts practice. Traditional stance work, foundational movements, striking skills, and conditioning exercises help students build a capable body while cultivating perseverance and determination.

As we often say:

To enter the gates of Taiji, one must first walk the halls of Kung Fu.

Qi Gong

Qi Gong teaches students how to cultivate and regulate internal energy through posture, breath, relaxation, and mindful movement.

Through consistent practice, students develop improved circulation, body awareness, relaxation, and vitality while learning to connect movement, breath, and intention.

The fullness, smoothness, and continuity developed through Qi Gong become essential qualities in the practice of Taijiquan.

Meditation

Meditation is the practice of continuous focused attention.

In a world filled with distraction, meditation provides an opportunity to quiet the mind, calm the nervous system, and develop greater clarity and presence.

Through guided and independent practices, students learn practical tools for improving focus, reducing stress, and cultivating inner stillness.

Philosophy & Self-Cultivation

Training does not end when class is over.

The traditional arts teach principles that extend beyond the studio and into everyday life. Patience, humility, discipline, balance, awareness, and compassion are developed through consistent practice and applied to relationships, work, health, and personal growth.

Our goal is not simply to teach techniques. Our goal is to help students use these arts as tools for becoming more capable, resilient, and fully developed human beings.
